Firefox keeps asking for proxy authentication

When using Fireefox and it keeps on asking for authentication over and over try the following:

In the Firefox address bar type "about:config"

search for "ntlm" values, use the following value "network.automatic-ntlm-auth.allow-proxies" and change it from "true" to "false"

Restart Firefox
